This process is quite effortful, especially if you would be using different SEB config files for each of your exams.

If you already inserted BEK strings from the Mac or Windows SEB versions, just paste it onto a new line.

For now, you can thoroughly read our existing documentation: Using SEB with MoodleĪs this key includes a hash (checksum) of both the saved exam settings and the code signature of the used SEB version, you may have to generate and copy several Browser Exam Keys into the Moodle quiz settings, for example one for the Windows version of SEB and one for the Mac version.

#SAFE EXAM BROWSER MAC EXIT KEYS HOW TO#
We will add more detailed documentation about how to add Browser Exam Keys for other operating systems to a Moodle quiz soon on. Moodle 3.9 will support the new Config Key hash, which will be automatically generated by Moodle, together with the SEB config for the quiz, so you won't need to copy/paste several keys. Then you load the same config file into SEB Config Tool for Windows and copy paste the Browser Exam Key from there on a new line in the Moodle quiz settings Browser Exam Key text field. Use the share button to for example e-mail the key to yourself or just close settings, log into the Moodle quiz as teacher/admin and paste the BEK into your quiz settings (as it was copied to the clipboard when closing settings). You can also create/modify the config in SEB for iOS and select "Share Keys with Config", but then you would need to use this config file to create the BEK for SEB for Windows. The Browser Exam Key (BEK) is different in each SEB platform version, so if you want to support iOS and Windows, you need to create a SEB configuration file, load this file with SEB for iOS, go into Settings and share the key (make sure to select the options "Share Browser Exam Key" and "Only Keys (Don't Modify Config)".
